We hired The Ruby Group as a trusted advisor about a year ago.  Looking back on our time working together I have seen a significant amount of growth in how our sales team manages their time.  One of the biggest challenges that we were facing was that our selling cycle was becoming too long.  This meant we were wasting a lot of our salespeople’s time as well as our consultant’s time by bringing them into unqualified situations. 

Through the diligent work of our sales team and our coach, Mike Jones, we developed a plan to tighten up our sales cycle and to avoid wasting time with unqualified leads.  We’ve found a system that works for us.  Our salespeople have the opportunity to attend any of The Ruby Group’s sales and management classes of their choosing based on their need or interest.  Mike also has monthly coaching sessions with our entire sales team here at our office.  This balance has created an environment where we have been able to keep on track by maintaining the basics of the Sandler System while still stretching ourselves to the next level.  

One example of how we have taken our sales team to the next level is through the collaborative development of a rewards and reprimands program.  The program has provided a sounding board on issues and strategies for better managing the sales team.  We certainly feel like we have benefitted from working with someone who has the privilege of being in several different environments over the course of a week.  It has allowed for us to better think outside of our box.
